A VIP Prayer Request

O.k., Guys this post is going to be really short because I am not doing schoolwork I need to be doing, so here goes. Last night, about 10 minutes before I want on stage for band, I said something to a person that has been visiting our church that I should not have. I feel so horrible! UGH! My brother told my mom and she rattled on and on about the power of words and such and such. I already knew what she was going to say that so I just sat there and looked at the ceiling. Because of my stupidity and ruthless actions that guy I hurt with my words might not ever go to church again and he may be eternally separated from God. My mom says I am grounded for this but whatever. I don't give a flip. I just wanna do whatever it takes to make things right with this guy. Even if it costs me my privileges and a happy holiday season. I am willing to pay the price it takes to get things right with this guy. Please pray that Lord's will be done and that this guy will forgive me if it is God's will. Please pray that my parents will be understanding about this and so harsh about it either. Yes, I admit I really messed up. But as my brother in christ told me last night (you know who you are), it is forgivable. Does anybody know any scripture that might help in this situation? If you do please tell me.

Hey chick... here are a bunch of verses... both to encourage you about forgiveness and to challenge you in your speech...

12Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
~Colossians 3:12-14

29Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.
Ephesians 4:29

Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens.
Psalm 68:19

Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
Galatians 6:2

3 If you, O LORD, kept a record of sins,
O Lord, who could stand?

4 But with you there is forgiveness;
therefore you are feared.

5 I wait for the LORD, my soul waits,
and in his word I put my hope.
Psalm 130:3-5

Don't ever believe the lie that God cannot use you because you have made a mistake... that is of Satan. God's grace is sufficient for you. Let Him be your strength and trust that His love in unfailing... that means it doesn't fail even when we mess up. I hope that this helps!

Amen to what The Tammy said! Those are some great verses.... I would add 1 Timothy 4:12 Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity show yourselves an example of those who believe. .... Live your life so those around you can see Him and that will draw people to Jesus. We all make mistakes, but it shows maturity that you are willing to do whatever it takes to make things right with this guy! Love you chick... Shannon
